Summertime Sadness

May is rolling in which means that we only have a month of summer left.
My favorite season's about to end.  :(

Talk about Summertime Sadness. HAHA.
(I am so literal about it.)

Seriously speaking, they say it's not advisable to wear dark-colored clothing during fiery days.
Dark clothes attracts the most heat.

However, some brands are using light material on their dark pieces...

Just like this outfit I am wearing. The shirt is from Giordano

while the tank top is from Topman. I wore this brightly colored floral board shorts from the Robinson's Department Store and slipped on a pair of Havaiannas

Don't be afraid to bend the rules by wearing black this summer.:)

Check out more of my outfits and adventures in the upcoming posts.

Cheers and YOLO Responsibly.

Sheer Up

Beach-goers strongly believe that one is already overdressed if he or she is wears slippers in the beach.

True enough, this golden rule must not be broken. HAHA.

So, Ladies and Gents, I present you my own interpretation of that.

For this look, I wore this sheer white long-sleeve polo from Cotton On. It's super light and comfortable. It felt like I was wearing nothing. HAHA. As a matter of fact, the polo was sheer enough to see the silhouette of my baby-fats. HAHA  I folded it to reveal my bronze colored skin which is so "IN" this season.

I added some earth-inspired accents like the brown fedora hat from Kultura and a gold watch from Micheal Kors

Well, of course, since this blog is general patronage, I put on my white trousers from Levi's for them kids. HAHA (i'm just in a really good mood while writing this blog, guys!)

Footwear was no longer necessary as this look was shot by the poolside.

I hope you, guys, always follow this summer rule!

Stay tuned for more of my wacky summer outfits and adventures on the posts to come!

YOLO Responsibly! :)

Blast from the Past

Hey, guys! How are you enjoying your summer so far?
I hope you are making a lot of memories with your family and friends.

Speaking about family, the polo I am wearing for this ensemble is so special to me.
It was an heirloom from my great grand father.
It was already in his possession long before I was born.

I have seen a photograph of Lolo wearing this polo while he was holding me on his lap.

One fine day after my Lolo died, I found his gold-colored Celebrity Polo sitting inside his wardrobe.
And the rest was history.

I paired the polo with my dark blue Uniqlo skinny jeans and slipped on my trusty Sperry Topsiders.

I even wore some arm candy which I purchased from the SM Departments Store.

I hope I am giving your polo justice, Lolo. :)

Thank you for visiting and always YOLO responsibly, guys!

More summer outfits and getaways coming your way.

Things to do in Barili, Cebu: Mantayupan Falls and Sta. Ana Church

Let's take a break from all my outfit posts, shall we? HAHA.

Basically, the Philippines is known for it's fine and pristine beaches. What others do not know is there are a lot more beautiful places our country could really boast about. I didn't have to go far to just experience that. I can find so much here in my hometown alone.

My brothers flew in from Manila after their school year ended. So when they arrived, my family and I journeyed all the way to the south of Cebu for our wild and random road trip. It was so random that we didn't have any itinerary of the places we would go or the things we would do, which was kind of exciting.

After an hour and a half of driving from Cebu City, we arrived in the small and quiet town of Barili.
My mom suggested we go to Mantayupan Falls, which she visited as a child.

Upon getting out of the car, I felt this sense of nostalgia when I  heard the sound of chirping birds and the water falling of the rocks. The place was just so serene and out of this world.

We passed all sorts of rock formation as we headed towards the falls.

There were three small falls before reaching the big one.

When we got there, we were in complete unutterable awe of the beauty of nature.
Here's my brother giving my mom a "thank-you" hug because words just escaped him upon beholding this magnificent place.

After we took souvenir photos of the waterfalls, we proceeded to the Sta. Anna Church which was located in Barili's Town Proper.

The Sta. Ana Church is the masterpiece of the people of Barili. It experienced a lot of life-changing events through the ages. The literature, which was provided for tourists, vividly discussed how the church was burned, bombed and rebuilt into the structure seen today.

The place gave me that rich historic feel of what it was like to live in the old days.

Definitely, Barili is a place to go to when you find yourself in Cebu.

More of my south side travels in my upcoming posts!

Cheers and YOLO responsibly. :)

Boy over Flowers

I wait all year round for Summer.
The season simply gives me the authority to wear all things bright, bold and colorful.

Just like this crazy floral number, I've put on.

I turned some heads while I strolled through the resort with my Bright Floral Polo, which I purchased fresh from the thrift shop.  I paired it with my black Giordano shirt and dark blue Uniqlo skinny jeans (fondly known
here in the Philippines as "meggings" or men's leggings) to make the colors pop out.

I then slipped on my favorite pair of green-blue Nike rubber shoes which perfectly tied the whole look together.
It was ideal for the long walk and exploration around this magnificent haven.

I chose to hang my sunnies around my shirt so that I can enjoy an untainted view of the beautiful flora and fauna the place had to offer.

It just showed that I'm just a boy who can't get over flowers. HAHA

The Great Escape

At last, my first post has finally seen the light of day. (Yay!) I finally got pass endless day dreams and procrastination and actually got down to writing. HAHA

Just in time for SUMMER!
Summertime is here once again. A time for us to calm our jittery nerves and just escape from the stresses of our everyday life.

My friends and I joined the bandwagon of vacationers and headed down to Crown Regency Mactan Hotel.  It was such an ideal place to escape and relax.

The first thing I observed was how tranquil the place was. The place was silent to my liking and the rich greenery surrounding the luxurious villas transported me to paradise.

I strolled around the vicinity in my preppy look which was inspired by the beach.

I wore my Navy Blue Fred Perry Polo Shirt and paired it with my Mustard-colored Uniqlo Shorts because the look reminded me of fine sand and the deep blue sea.

I also slipped on my dark-brown Sperry Topsiders for that sailor-kind of feel.

I finished the look by donning on my sunnies from Fovever 21Man and my watch by Michael Kors.

I really felt like sailing that day.

About Me

I am Jiri Dinsay 22, Retarded Retired Nurse/Day-Dreamer from Cebu, Philippines.
The inspiration of this so-called "blog" came to me when my psychiatrist (I'm kidding! or am I?. HAHA.) supportive family said it would be good for me to share the oddly unique adventures of an introverted guy like me.
Subsequently, starting this blog has inspired me to venture out of my thick introverted shell and has allowed me to express my passions in writing, picture-taking, styling, food-tripping, travelling and just about any random stuff under the sun.
I dedicate all my blog entries to every simple joy and epic misadventure I make down the road of life.
So, come and follow me. See what makes me glow. Witness supreme passion and glee, for I AM KING YOLO. :)
