Barkada Trip 2014: The Aloguinsan - Barili Adventure

My friends and I were craving for an epic summer escapade. We wanted to do something we will never forget. Thus, we went on a road trip to the south side of Cebu, all the way to Aloguinsan and Barili

I've known these wackoos ever since high school. That's how long our friendship has endured over the years. It was our very first time to go on road trip together for we just usually checked in a resort for the weekend. We decided to go to Aloguinsan first since it was the farthest place on the itinerary.

We had lunch at the Secret Beach. We expected to have the beach all to ourselves as the name suggested. On the contrary, there were a lot of people. Almost all the cottages were rented out. There even was a class celebrating their Alumni Homecoming that day.
It was a Sunday.
Family Day.

Nonetheless, the place was alluring. There were a lot of magnificent rock formations

and the beach just sparkled in the sunshine.
We swam for an hour or so and left for the enchanted Bojo River.

We were supposed to go on a river cruise but found the cost a bit pricey.
They charged Php 450 per person.

But it was fine. This gave us reason to definitely go back to Aloguinsan.

We took some souvenir photos before heading to Barili.
They asked me to bring them to Mantayupan Falls since they have not gone there yet.

We ate and swam some more.
We bonded like never before.

Alas, the time came for us to go home. We stopped by the Milk Station in Barili.

They sold ice cream made in goat and carabao's milk.
It had a unique savory kick to it.
The picture above shows other products the sold.

Side Notes:
- It's better to travel on a weekday rather than a weekend to avoid the crowd of beach goers.
-We bought lechon for lunch at Carcar for Php 250 per kilo.
-The nearest convenience store in the south is a 7/11 store in Carcar. We bought soft drinks, utensils and ice there.
-Entrance to Secret Beach was Php 50 per person.
-Entrance to Mantayupan Falls was Php 20 per person.
- Ice cream at the Milk Station costs Php 50 per scoop.

We really enjoyed the sights and sound of each others company.
We can't wait for our next epic escapade.
Out of the country this time maybe. HAHA.

Cheers and YOLO Responsibly.
